It may take you 06 days to complete this trek. You can do these days more or less according to yourself. If you are more capable then your first day will be from Dharamshala to Salli. Salli is an extremely beautiful village, known for its natural beauty. Staying here one night, you will leave Salli for Chandral the next morning.

First day of trek


The height of which is about 2,100 meters above sea level. To reach here you have to complete a trek of 6 km. And this trek will take you 3-4 hours. After this your trek starts from the stop-gap bridge and the trek goes along a trail river to Chandrella Dhar. After this the trek up to Chandrela gradually progresses, even the trek is considered an easy trekking. Because the way here is not so difficult.

Second day of trek


After this, on the second day you will go from Chakraula to Chakarotu, which is about 2,700 meters above sea level and its distance is 12 km, which can take you 06 to 07 hours to complete. Here you stay overnight and after morning breakfast your trek to Chakrotu starts. As you continue moving towards the mountains above, you will get to see a lot of natural beauty. Chakrotu place will be your second day's stay.

Third day of trek


Then on the third day the Balayani Pass, which is situated at an altitude of 3,500 meters. Here your trek through your Balani holdings will be 12 km and the time will be 6-7 hours. After spending 6-7 hours, start the day to cross the Balayani Pass. Its height is about 3,850 meters above sea level. There is a hiking trek up to Ballyani Jot. After this, after stopping at the Balayani Pass trek, after going down the slope, stop in a place called Delhi and make your night stay here. From here you will see many stars flickering in the sky at night.

Fourth day of the trek


After this, the journey of your trek in Delhi starts further. Morning starts towards Lum Dal Lake. You can spend time around this holy and religious lake. Here you can not stop at night. Camps are not allowed on the banks of the lake. Therefore, after spending time here, you have to come back to Delhi. The water of this lake is so pure and clear that you can also drink this water. During this time, you will get to see many natural scenes here. Which will give you immense peace and comfort. Your sari fatigue will go away as soon as you see this lake.

Fifth day of the trek


Kareri Lake is about 12 kilometers from Lum Dal Lake. Kareri Lake is also a very beautiful lake. You can start your journey to Kareri Lake after breakfast in the morning. The Kareri Lake passes through the Minkayani Pass. This is the highest point of this trek. The elevation of the Minkayani holdings is about 4,100 meters above the sea level. Here you can see many scenes while trekking towards the mountains above the mountain path. From here, tourists get to see the amazing and panoramic views of Minkayani holdings, Kangra Valley. From here you can see the Carrie Lake below. From here you take 2 to 3 hours from downhill to Kareri lake.

Last day of trek


After this you will start the journey from Kareri lake to Kareri village. Which is only 12 kilometers away. You can start trekking to Kareri village in the morning. During the journey you will reach near Nauli village. Nauli is a very beautiful small hill village. You can reach your private vehicle here. After this you will have to walk 2 kilometers to reach Kareri village. Or you can reach Kareri village also through the medium of your car.

In this lum dal trek, now your car or bike will be able to go to Noli village only, you have to complete the path by walking. Be sure to include this trek in your trip to Himachal which will thrill you. It is 20 kilometers from Kareli village to McLeodganj. Which you can complete with a car or a bike. And from McLeodganj you can reach your home or other destination.
